Title : Foreclosure Attorney

Foreclosure Attorney The candidate will represent secured creditors, banks and mortgage servicers in all stages of the foreclosure process including contested cases. Will manage and maintain foreclosure files in accordance with the firm's compliance requirements. Review and sign foreclosure motions, notices, affidavits, and other pleadings. Review and compile documents required for the foreclosure process. Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and regulatory requirements. Undertake legal research and legal writing, handling a varied caseload of contested foreclosure issues. Handle a national portfolio of loans for banks and mortgage servicers. Attend hearings, mediations, trials, settlement conferences, and other appearances as necessary. Review information in the firm's case management system, in client systems, and in investor systems to ensure data integrity and consistency. Handle client inquiries in a timely and competent manner via systems, phone, and email. Properly use and rely on firm's case management system and report to ensure deadlines are met for various pleadings to be served or filed. Maximize client billing opportunities while maintaining a clear focus on compliance and investor timeline expectations by prioritizing and working at a fast pace on a high volume of files. The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admission to the Illinois State Bar (federal and bankruptcy districts are a plus) is required. Must have 3+ years of experience. Prior experience in foreclosure law required. Eviction/forcible experience is a plus. Prior experience with electronic case management systems required. Experience in various client systems, such as BKFS, Tempo and Vendorscape needed.
