Paralegal Administrative Assistant The candidate will accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly. Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence by answering phone calls and emails, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and informing the team of upcoming deadlines. Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Track open issues and prepare regular status reports for management. Respond to team member inquiries with timely fulfilment of requests. Collaborate with office personnel to identify opportunities for process improvements or new approaches. Assist in litigation support and valuation engagements in a wide variety of industries and matters which may include creating tables of contents, cast of characters, chronologies, updating jobs-in-progress and creating client binders. Gather and analyze industry and comparable company research from public documents. Assist in preparing written reports. Create and maintain work paper documentation for client engagements. Should have 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks. Should have strong organizational skills and communication skills. Proficient with MS Office products. Associate's degree or some college is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion and good judgment. Ability to effectively use technology and demonstrate proficiency in typing.
