Legal Secretary The candidate will file notices, motions, and other documents with the court using a third-party provider system and maintain related deadlines; Draft correspondence; Prepare and follow up regarding subpoenas and record requests; Assist in propounding discovery; Prepare documents for discovery in response to opposing counsel requests; Schedule court reporters and videographers for depositions; Format and proofread pleadings, letters, memos, charts, tables, graphs and other documents; Meticulously maintain attorney calendars; plan and schedule conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel arrangements. Should preferably have Prior Legal Secretary experience. Familiarity with Federal and California Civil Procedure is required. Should have an understanding of local court rules and filing requirements; Knowledge of Westlaw, Westlaw Form Builders and internet search engines for research purposes; Knowledge of Pacer and ECF filing procedures; Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; Flexibility, ability to work late with advance notice; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
