Litigation Paralegal Part-Time Duties: Works with attorneys and will perform many tasks during the litigation process. Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs and many other documents needed in preparation for a matter or for court. Assist in depositions, witness preparation, and research. Prepares and handles all exhibits. Attend trials acting as an assistant to the attorney during the court proceedings (when required). Perform routine office duties such as photocopying and scanning documents, and helping prepare them for court filings. Maintain litigation files, reviewing and preparing material for storage or disposal once a case has closed. Are responsible for closing out case documents. Must be highly organized with a great attention to detail. Keep all documents readily available for retrieval either from electronic files or from stored records. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Will have direct communication with clients, witnesses, and court officials. Have demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, direct client contact and in an environment working directly with senior partners. Requirements: 2+ years of Paralegal experience, preferably in Litigation. Must have a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program. Must have excellent computer/typing skills and be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products. Additional software applications skills for Legal documentation are preferred, such as, Worldox, iManage, iCreate, Workflow, Contract Express and others. Schedule is 20 hours per week
