Attorney The candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs. Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff. Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects. Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings. Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies. Work with senior litigation attorney on all phases of litigation (including court conferences, depositions, motions, discovery and investigation, mediation, and trial preparations). Independently manage a litigation caseload. Draft motions, pleadings, Summons and Complaints, discovery requests, briefs, and client communications. Represent clients in court with hearings and depositions (Matrimonial, Real Estate, Personal Injury, and Immigration). Assist with trial preparation. Communicate with clients and provide status reports. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for 2+ years is required. Should have 3+ years of litigation experience in Real Estate, Estates and/or Matrimony Law. Should have 1+ year of experience representing clients in a law firm. Should preferably have 1+ years of experience with LEAP Software. Admission to the New York bar is required. French, Creole and Spanish skills are preferred.
