The firm also has been criticized in many respects for its lack of diversity; however, we do not believe that this is a serious problem because the firm's recent hires have all been very diverse in our opinion. The firm also receives very high scores for the treatment of associates by partners and there does appear to be a very good relationship here between associates and partners with associates feeling they are part of the mix to a great degree and respected by partners. Most associates at this firm would much rather stay with the firm than switch firms. In our book this is a good sign.
Attorney Compensation & Personnel Analyst Duties: Work with the Senior Attorney Compensation Manager, provides the data and calculations necessary to determine compensation for Associates, Counsel, Senior Counsel, Senior Attorneys, nonpartnership-track Associates, contract attorneys, Patent Agents and Technical Specialists. Supports the work of related evaluation and compensation committees. Respond to questions regarding attorney personnel policies. Produces, reviews and analyzes data related to all attorneys for internal and external reporting and survey purposes. Support the development and improvements to personnel policies, processes and practices for all attorneys and patent agents with a particular focus on Associates and Counsel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience including two years of progressively responsible analysis in support of attorney compensation, financial reporting, and/or human resources processes, or equivalent. MBA preferred. Experience in a professional services environment highly desirable; legal experience beneficial. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. As well as the, ability to analyze people and financial data and prepare concise reports to assist management in understanding changes, trends and underlying issues. The must be able to perform detailed data work under time pressure with a high degree of accuracy and prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines and communicate time frame to requestor while maintain efficient completion of tasks and timely communication. The candidate will be able express self effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat including intermediate to advanced Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Skills is a plus. As well as, experience with data reporting tools or packages and experience with an HRIS as more than a basic employee or manager user. Experience with ViEval, ViRecruit and Workday preferred.
