Part-time Data Privacy Attorney The candidate will perform legal counsel on clients data protection compliance programs, including drafting internal data protection policies and procedures, website privacy statements, employee privacy notices, website terms of use, data transfer impact assessments, and data privacy impact assessments. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating data processing and information security provisions in client and vendor agreements. Provide counsel with respect to data breach response matters, including advising on whether data breach notifications are legally required, complying with data breach notification requirements, engaging with law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and assisting with internal investigations. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in data protection laws (including consumer marketing frameworks). Draft articles and alerts related to developments in data protection legislation and litigation. Should have at 3 years of experience working on data protection matters for a law firm or in-house legal department. Experience with CCPA, GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, COPPA, and similar data protection laws, is required. Additional experience with data breach response laws and frameworks is preferred.
