Legal Secretary The candidate's responsibilities: Provide secretarial and case management support to Attorneys and Paralegals. Proofread and edit legal Documents and firm correspondence. Assist in drafting correspondence, memoranda, and other such documents. Managing and coordinating Attorney Schedules including utilizing and maintaining a firm calendar and deadline reminder system. Communicate and schedule with clients, experts, courts, and other attorneys and/or law firms; Assist Firm Accounting Manager in handling firm conflict checks and establishing client accounts; Assist File Services in maintaining client files according to established procedures; Schedule appointments for legal employees and assist with their travel as needed; Help prepare and set up for attorney/client meetings, and other office meetings; Notarize and Witness legal documents for Estate Planning, Trust Administration.Candidates must be technically proficient, able to work with the Microsoft office's suite of products; pdf software; be capable of learning and utilizing the firm's practice management, document management, and communication systems (Leap, Worldox, and Slack); as well as proficiency in basic office equipment like copiers and faxes. Applicants must be extremely proficient in the English language, capable of detailed editing, and have the ability to use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
