Civil Litigation Defense Associate Attorney The candidate will communicate and collaborate with staff, attorneys, clients, and adjusters. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with guidance from partners. Travel as needed for depositions, trial, site inspections and meetings. Familiarity with timekeeping and billing tasks to insurance clients. Keep supervising attorney apprised of activity and case development. Must be admitted to practice in Oregon. Washington license is a plus. Trial experience is considered a plus. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Proficiency with modern technology and ability to learn new software. Enthusiasm for managing your own caseload. Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Positive, ambitious self-starters are strongly encouraged to apply. Desire to become a partner in the firm.
