Assistant Managing Attorney The candidate will be consulting with attorneys on legal procedural issues. Supervising a staff of ten employees and overseeing the daily law clerk assignments, service and filing of court papers both in hard copy and through e-filing, docketing, legalization of documents and case monitors. Assisting with Associate and Paralegal training re: court systems, court rules and preparation, service and filing of court papers. Should have a J.D degree; Admitted to practice in New York. Must have 1+ years of experience working in a Managing Attorney's Office. Should possess excellent communication and supervisory skills. Should have strong interpersonal skills, work productively as a team player with attorneys and staff at all levels, detailed knowledge of State and Federal court rules and procedures, expertise in electronic filing. Should be able to prioritize, handle multiple projects, and work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. Should possess a high degree of integrity and a sense of confidentiality. Microsoft Word, Excel skills are required.
