Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will be handling cases from inception through resolution. Extensive review and knowledge of each case assigned. Maintain constant contact with clients and attorneys. Ordering and organizing of medical records. Organization and review of insurance company claim files. Docketing and calendaring. Scheduling physician phone calls. Scheduling client evaluations. Gather and analyze information relevant to the case. Drafting correspondence to clients and insurance companies. Filing on Colorado Courts E-Filing and NextGen systems. Prepare basic pleadings including Initial Disclosures and written discovery. Familiarity with litigation and Court Rules in both state and federal court required. Microsoft Office software programs required. Adobe Acrobat required. Time Keeping required. Experience with calendar and document management systems required. Clear and concise writing and proofreading required. Excellent people skills required. Should have either a paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional experience in a law office. Should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with good communication skills for empathetic client contact and strong writing abilities. A successful candidate can work independently, multitask and meet deadlines with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
