Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, and completing tasks of the case as assigned by attorneys in this fast-paced and busy law firm. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with state or federal courts. Perform administrative duties - calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, schedule depositions and manage logistics. Handle scheduling and deadlines with a high priority. Maintain pleadings and discovery. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, medical records as directed by attorney. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Prepare and send summonses and subpoenas. Correspond with counsel, courts, and clients. Coordinate appointments and logistics if necessary. Work closely with attorneys on case management. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Help with voir dire, jury selection, and witnesses preparation. Provide assistance with case settlements. Maintain client confidentiality; other tasks as assigned by attorneys or Administrators. Should have a high school or equivalent education. Also, 2 years of Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
