Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for performing specifically-delegated substantive legal work for multiple Attorneys. Will be preparing pre-hearing briefs; monitoring deadlines; monitoring and managing attorney mail; preparing file summaries/file analysis; conducting necessary discovery to prepare for litigation; conducting legal research; preparing correspondence to clients/attorneys/other facilities; scheduling of depositions/ etc. Must be able to handle non-routine situations, problems and deviations; must use independent judgment and initiative to determine approach or action to take in non-routine situations. Should have complex litigation experience and knowledge of both Federal and State Rules. Must have Associate Degree. Should have complex Litigation experience of 5 years. Must have Paralegal certificate. Knowledge of Federal and State Rules is required. Should have the knowledge of preparing drafts: request, response, pleading, order, motion, etc. Strong computer skills with 55+ WPM are needed. Should have professional interpersonal and communication skills; communicate effectively with Attorneys and other professionals.
