Paralegal Candidate must have: Bachelor s Degree in any subject with strong academic credentials. 2 years of experience working in a law firm or legal department of a corporation handling U.S. patent matters, docketing, or portfolio management. Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines; Professional, self-disciplined, efficient, and capable of working independently; Willingness to work in a non-traditional law office setting and adapt to different client procedures; Capable and comfortable with supporting attorneys and agents who may be located remotely; Excellent at multi-tasking with the ability to diligently manage and organize priorities; Strong knowledge of patent prosecution rules and procedures (ability to navigate the USC, CFR, and MPEP); Familiarity with client docketing systems (e.g., Lecorpio, Anaqua, Foundation IP, CPI, etc.) and both private and public United States Patent and Trademark Office s (USPTO) Patent Application Information Retrieval system; Capable of working in a paperless office environment, maintaining electronic files and proficient at electronic filing with the USPTO; Extensive experience with various applications, including MS Office, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment; Strong writing, typing and editing skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to review correspondences from USPTO and prepare reporting letters to clients; Ability to prepare budgets and cost estimates for clients; Ability to prepare patent family trees and status reports; Ability to prepare due diligence charts and track documents; and Ability to review and maintain docket.
