Attorney Development and Recruitment Manager The candidate manages the recruiting and development function for all facets of the recruitment process for all attorneys (summer program, summer and fall associates, law clerks, foreign interns, inbound office secondments, lateral associates, counsel and partners, and contract attorneys and independent contractors) and for inbound client/law firm and office secondees the development process for all attorneys including onboarding and new hire orientation, ongoing training curriculum delivery, on demand programs; coordination of LA attorney participation in multi-office workshops and retreats, CLE course accreditation for CA, attorney CLE tracking and state bar admission/dues compliance, mentoring / retention initiatives and performance evaluations the HR processes for all attorneys including onboarding and new hire processes, office transfers, leaves of absence, immigration / visas, transitions to independent contractor, senior counsel, retirement, AWS, title changes, outbound client and office secondments, and separations/exit interviews. Ensures appropriate interface of team with Hiring Partners to develop hiring goals, recruitment strategies, OCI process, status reporting and meeting agendas; Summer Program Committee to manage summer associate experience and Law School Team Captains to discuss candidates, recruiting programs, strategies and processes; Practice Leaders regarding hiring needs and first year associate placement; Law school career services and search firm professionals; DR Recruitment Managers in other offices to coordinate OCI, applicants for multiple offices, website, promotional materials, gifts, etc.; ADR US-wide leads for area of focus. Diversity professionals on law student outreach, candidate follow up, retention and advancement, diversity tracking, and diversity strategy; Marketing professionals on website, ads, promotional materials, dedicated intranets / extranets, etc.; HRIS professionals to implement procedures for department software tools such as CE Manager, LawCruit, viDesktop, Simplicity, PeopleSoft, LinkedIn, data integrity and reporting, etc. Oversees the development and administration of the training, social events, orientation, mentoring, work assignments, evaluations and offer process during the Summer Program. Participates in all relevant local office Committees for recruitment, development, training, diversity, etc. Maintain current Marketing materials, assist attorneys with presentation materials and scheduling events, track news clips and charitable contributions to maximize Firm exposure, coordinate client and office events as requested. The candidate must have strong computer skills. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products; knowledge of applicant tracking [LawCruit], work assignments and performance evaluation [viDesktop], CLE tracking [CE Manager], learning management and HRIS [PeopleSoft] software a strong plus; MCLE knowledge a plus. Should have strong interpersonal, listening and organizational skills. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Should have high level of professionalism and initiative. Should have demonstrated presentation, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiating skills. Must have demonstrated ability to lead and motivate across staff levels within the Firm and to lead team to accomplish goals. Should have ability to develop strategy and objectives, and manage projects effectively. Must have strong customer service and team orientation. Should have ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree in education, human resources or law a plus. Experience with required continuing education rules a plus.
