Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will oversee and handle the litigation calendar, coordinate scheduling, Short Calendar and Motion Practice, and work closely in all aspects of business litigation. Will interact and maintain correspondence with clients, and will be involved in all aspects of the litigation process. Should have 3+ years of prior litigation experience. Must have a solid knowledge of the workings of the state and federal courts, the Connecticut Rules of Court and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. A knowledge of the Bankruptcy Court Rules is a plus. Should possess excellent communication and organizational skills and will comfortably handle multiple tasks. Expertise with Microsoft Word is expected. Experience with Litigation Management Software such as Time Matters and/or ACT is a plus. E-filing in State and Federal Court is expected. Paralegal Certificate Training is required.
