Legal Secretary / Assistant The candidate will assist with case management, legal document preparation, billing projects, and time entry. Duties will include scanning incoming mail, calendaring deadlines, speaking with clients and various courts, occasional runs to the court, legal document preparation and retrieving the mail along with other general office duties. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel. Should have 2+ years of previous Insurance Defense experience in a law firm. Bodily Injury experience is a big plus. Must have expertise with reviewing medical records and compiling medical chronologies. Must have active knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, preparing and responding to discovery, subpoenas as well as knowledge and experience in preparing basic legal documents and pleadings. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
