Litigation Paralegal At Law Firm, we are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Charleston office and support our litigation teams. This is a non-exempt administrative position that reports to the Office Administrator and assigned attorneys. Job Responsibilities * Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents * Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and experts * Review and summarize depositions and other discovery materials * Analyze and summarize records or other documentation * Trial preparation, including electronic presentations * Assist attorneys at trial with electronic presentations, coordinating witnesses and managing trial exhibits * Manage electronic databases associated with e-discovery * Assist with document production * Conduct research using electronic tools or other sources * Cite check and shepardize briefs * Prepare and submit electronic filings * Docket court filing deadlines and scheduling orders * Other duties as assigned Job Requirements * 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience and a paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Business litigation, construction, employment law, and/or professional negligence/product liability experience preferred. * Large case management and trial experience preferred * Experience with Relativity and other eDiscovery software preferred * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe * Experience with trial presentation software preferred * Proficiency in Federal and/or State electronic filing systems * Experience using a legal time and billing system and electronic work flow system * Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment simultaneously, set priorities, and accommodate rush requests * Motivated, self-directed individual with ability to anticipate and resolve issues * Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills * Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times Salary This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Charleston office. The successful candidate will bring 3-5 years of related experience and a paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The Litigation Paralegal will report to the Office Administrator and assigned attorneys and will work a regular, primarily in-office schedule as determined by the Office Administrator and/or assigned attorneys. The typical schedule will consist of 7.5 hours per day equating to 37.5 hours per week. Additional hours (including overtime) will be required on occasion.
