Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will assist in creation and maintenance of a daily matter "to do" list ; Maintain that list and review with attorneys daily re: deadline. Prepare draft status reports on each open matter on an ongoing basis. Provide comprehensive administrative functions including initiating, drafting, editing, and finalizing correspondence, agreements, and/or other materials as part of the new matter checklist. Maintain systematic follow-up to ensure that deadlines are met and that information and material required from other offices are received on a timely basis. Assist attorneys with drafting and preparing shells for pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and other case memoranda. Create production logs and privilege logs, assist with document production, and manage documents. Perform legal filings and calendaring in state and federal court. Assist attorneys with legal research and analysis. Prepare summaries of documents and case issues for attorneys. Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, including exhibit preparation and organization, witness coordination, and trial binder creation. Proofread work, including correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents. Perform administrative support functions, such as scanning documents, e-mailing documents to clients, maintaining client files, meeting with clients, etc.. Bachelor's degree is required. Should have 3+ years of Litigation experience.
