Job Summary: Sommers Law Group is looking for an experienced estate planning, probate and trust administration paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all phases of estate planning, probate, and trust administration, including probate matters; extensive communication with clients, financial planners, and accountants; distribution of trust and estate assets; deed work, etc. Job Responsibilities: Participate in conference calls with clients Prepare clear and concise correspondence Prepare estate planning and real estate documents Prepare and administer probate and trust administration critical dates and checklists Maintain trust administration and probate forms and templates; make updates as needed Prepare probate documents, trust administration documents, and miscellaneous documents for attorney review Interacting with clients on substantive legal matters Explaining and notarizing clients legal documents Extensive client contact - handling client calls, questions, and inquiries Correspond with clients and other parties as the primary point of contact on all trust and estate administration cases Following up with clients on missing or outstanding items Inputting raw client data into document creation programs and preparing/proofing initial drafts of trust administration and probate documents for attorney review Competently revising documents after attorney review Gathering, reviewing, and organizing data regarding clients beneficiaries, trustees, agents, and other representatives Sending and tracking correspondence related to trust and probate administration process to clients, advisors, and financial institutions Ensuring service of appropriate documents and e-filing documents with the court Oversee cases and act as a liaison between clients, staff, and attorneys to ensure deadlines are met, quality control checklists are complete, and timely progression of cases Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in probate and trust administration Strong attention to detail Growth mindset Self-aware Highly organized Possess the ability to prioritize Excellent written and verbal skills Compassion and patience when dealing with clients Notary public or willing/able to become one Working knowledge of the Colorado Courts e-filing system Ability to learn new skills relating to technology Professional demeanor Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Experience with Practice Panther, Wealthdocx, Wealthtracx, Simplifile, Box, and/or Column is a bonus Experience in estate planning is preferred Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is $25 to $37 per hour, depending on experience.
