Legal Secretary The candidate will be prioritizing and executing tasks quickly and accurately. Formatting and setting up documents including pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents. Prepare shell documents for attorneys in preparation of discovery, orders, motions, and trial documents. Excellent proofreading skills. Update and maintain files in a timely manner. Time entry, processing client bills, conducting client conflict checks, transcribing dictation. Maintain calendars with pertinent dates and deadlines as well as other necessary dates. Reviewing vendor invoices and requesting checks for payment in a timely manner. Assisting attorneys and paralegals in preparation for time sensitive deadlines. Should have 3+ years of legal experience; administrative experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a group or independently. Should preferably have litigation experience. Should be proficient in MS Word (high priority), Outlook and Excel and type a minimum of 65 words per minute with high accuracy. Should be detail oriented and able to work well in a fast paced environment.
