Associate Attorney The candidate will assist in procurement of patents, trademarks and copyrights in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). develop response strategies for and prepare draft responses to office action from USPTO. Provide scientific, technical and legal advice to clients on patent related drafting, prosecution and consulting services. Research, analyze and resolve complex legal issues related to intellectual property. Handle intellectual property related matters in federal courts from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, discovery responses, motions, memorandum, briefing, oral argument, settlement agreements, etc. Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, defendants and witness and prepare witnesses for deposition. Advise clients on intellectual property portfolio management. Draft and assist in the negotiation and administration of intellectual property related contracts, such as confidentiality, development and license agreements. Should have Juris Doctor and a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in relevant disciplines recognized by the USPTO with 1+ years of work experience in intellectual property. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
