Paralegal The candidate will work for firm that handles guardianships, conservatorships, probates, trust matters, special needs planning, long term care planning and estate planning. Primary Job Responsibilities: Interacting with current/potential clients, various agencies, offices, and court staff. Answering the phone, making calls, returning calls. Scheduling appointments. Drafting and responding to emails and letters. Mailing correspondence and calculating postage. Conducting research to support legal documents/proceedings. Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Handling and safeguarding confidential records professionally and responsibly. Scanning, filing, photocopying, and faxing documents. Tracking and organizing activities in our practice management software. Recording and storing client information in PracticeMaster database. Court filings and errands ( Post Office, Courthouse). Light to moderate lifting. The candidate should have 5+ years experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work well with others, and are familiar with the basics of Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel. Tabs/PracticeMaster database knowledge is a plus. Previous experience as a paralegal in related practice areas preferable. Should have ability to follow up on tasks, calendaring, court hearings. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft skills necessary.
