Litigation Paralegal The candidate will handle responsibilities that include: Case load management, including: sorting and analyzing incoming mail, faxes, emails and overnight deliveries for priority documents. Client, court and opposing counsel communications, status requests, system updates; updating case management system with all communications and case actions, strategies or meeting summaries; escalations and follow up with attorneys and client for needed documents, direction, next steps; hearing results follow up and reporting; Order follow up and executed Order Processing; Setting necessary compliance tasks and notification to proper parties for post-hearing work; resuming cases from hold; regular docket reviews/case reviews, close and bill processing; amended complaint requests; drafting shell documents for attorneys. Monitoring client systems, handling tasks and steps, and messaging. Assuring compliance with firm, client and judicial guidelines, timelines, and requirements. Providing feedback to the administrator regarding any areas that need improvement or any consistent issues they are seeing that need to be addressed. Providing coverage for department or firm when needed in other areas. Assisting with special projects. Must be computer literate. High School Education required. Should have 2+ years of experience. Prior legal assistant and general office experience is preferred.
