Data Privacy And Transactional Associate Attorney The candidate will assist with firm s data privacy, data security, advertising compliance, and website agreement practices. Will also prepare client materials such as website agreements and advisory memoranda, as well as client alerts regarding upcoming issues of importance. Advise on compliance across all aspects of domestic and global privacy laws and regulation, including data protection, data retention, data security, and data breach rules. Perform audits and compliance reviews of clients data privacy and data security procedures. Advise on advertising compliance for Internet marketing and advertising technology clients. Prepare and revise terms of service and privacy policies to reflect latest developments in Internet law, including data privacy and security. Must have JD degree and admission to the California bar. Should have 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm and/or in an in-house legal or compliance position. Must have Practical knowledge of U.S. and European data privacy laws. Should have experience drafting basic website agreements, including terms of use and privacy policies. Prior knowledge of data protection laws, advertising compliance, and Internet-related legal issues is strongly preferred. Experience advising clients on advertising technologies preferred. CIPP/US and CIPP/E certification desired.
