Litigation Paralegal The candidate must have either a Bachelor's Degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program with 1-4 years of experience in defense litigation. Should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills. Should have an aptitude for detail, the ability to work efficiently, the ability to work under pressure with or without direct supervision, and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures, proficiency in paper and e-filing (state and federal), knowledge of court websites, and research skills are preferred. Must have experience performing the following tasks: Assisting trial counsel in all areas of client representation including drafting correspondence and pleadings; preparing discovery and discovery response; requesting and summarizing medical records; preparing for depositions, mediation, arbitration, trial; and document management.
