Supervising Attorney The candidate will serve as direct supervisor for two (2) attorneys and one support staff member. Prepare and submit reports as required by the managing attorney. Ensure the team adheres to company and legal department policies and procedures. Facilitate staff engagement, teamwork, collaboration, and development. Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) of their team. Monitor individual and team revenue goals and billable hours. Ensure client satisfaction. Assist in billing review and account management. Train and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign duties and conduct performance reviews in conjunction with management staff. Should have a strong working knowledge of the New York Family Court Act and Domestic Relations Law. Experience in litigating such matters in New York Courts. Humility in working with colleagues and clients across the spectrum of diversity, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status. Membership in good standing in the New York State Bar. Supervisor experience is strongly preferred. Experience supervising legal work and projects is strongly preferred. Experience and skills in organizing and supervising legal casework and projects are strongly preferred. Commitment, experience, and/or skills to lead a diverse, dynamic team with varied communication styles, learning styles, and levels of experience, identifying and resolving interpersonal conflicts, identifying and professional development opportunities, and working with staff on setting and achieving goals for professional growth. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to be detail?oriented. Experience and skill in implementing effective onboarding and training programs for new staff. Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently. Excellent and consistent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and flexibility around changing priorities and deadlines. Aptitude for and willingness to be a team player. Willingness and ability to travel to both Albany and Saratoga locations for firm meetings.
