Legal Secretary Duties: Assisting with case management from inception through trial. Gathering all records pertaining to each case, reviewing and summarizing the same Assisting with preparation of discovery requests and responses. Composing various legal documents and correspondence. Works collaboratively with assigned attorneys and support staff in preparing legal documentation and/or processing transactions. Investigates factual information to respond to litigation discovery requests or other information inquiries. Performs legal research and analysis, both manually and on computers; compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data. Manages cases and files; organizes and maintains files. Performs factual and technical investigation and analysis of case issues. Provides general logistical help and supports the maintenance of legal files. Assists in development and implementation of office systems and procedures as needed. Assists with special projects as assigned. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: 1-2 years related experience or equivalent. Strong research skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent grammatical and spelling skills. Keystroke of 55+ wpm. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skillsare highly preferred. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions Creative, flexible, and innovative team player Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Acute attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects. Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. High intermediate to advanced level MS Office experience.
