E-Discovery Analyst Duties: Assist litigation case teams with facilitating the movement of electronically stored information (ESI) from one step of the electronic discovery process to the next. Integrate and organize scanned images, ESI, video and audio files, transcripts and depositions in a discovery database for review purposes. Communicate, correspond and interact with clients and outside entities under the supervision of attorneys and senior litigation technology professionals or project managers. Database creation, maintenance and archival: Load data and images from CDs, DVDs and other media sources to the firm s systems. Convert and manipulate data for loading into Relativity databases. Design and document software utility modules using scripting language. Perform complex tasks associated with OCR conversion, PDF conversion, CD-ROM creation and image printing that do not lend themselves to standardized procedures. Create Relativity databases and set up user accounts. Assist with complex Relativity database searches and generation of reports. Document production preparation (Branding, Redactions, etc.) Quality control of electronically stored information. Record EDD processing metrics. Provide on-call support on a rotating basis as assigned SQL scripting for Relativity environment Maintain internal documentation: Maintain and share technical documentation for all E-Discovery applications. Participate in application upgrades, technology projects and solution testing as needed. Consult with team members regarding ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of applications in the environment. Qualifications: Two-year degree in a technology-related major field or equivalent experience. Knowledge and skill set necessary for the following applications: Relativity, Concordance, Summation, CaseMap, TimeMap, LiveNote/Westlaw Case Notebook, IPRO, TextPad, UltraEdit, LAW Prediscovery Preferred: Four-year degree; Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA). 2+ years experience in the E-Discovery Industry with a law firm E-Discovery department, as a paralegal, or with a E-Discovery vendor. Experience with handling and manipulation of load files (and other related file formats) is a must. Experience with text manipulations software (e.g. TextPad, Ultraedit, Microsoft Excel, and/or Microsoft Access) is required Excellent technical skills. Process-oriented communication skills; Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to relate effectively to legal professionals, technology and professional service vendors, and internal technology peers. Must have solid analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to multi-task. Must possess strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with others under short deadlines in high pressure situations.
