Paralegal The candidate will organize documents received from the client and opposing counsel. Coordinate document productions. Conduct the Bates-stamping, redaction, duplication and indexing of documents. Create executive and expansive summaries or digests of the case and issues, as necessary. Prepare for and attend trials by organizing exhibits, files and all other supporting documents, coordinating trial set-up and logistics, assisting attorneys in the courtroom by taking notes, handling exhibits, and marking documents referred to by counsel, assisting in the preparation of witness testimony. Draft legal documents Drafting documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, discovery requests discovery responses, and other legal documents as requested by the attorney. Work with attorneys in the preparation and filing of court documents. Draft, direct and coordinating activities, include the delivery of subpoenas that involve important case information. Carry out legal research. Conduct various document searches and factual research online and though various legal resources. Perform research for the attorney on various topics, as requested, and provide an annotated report of results. Gather research data such as statutes, codes, previous court decisions related to the case, and legal articles. This data must be analyzed and interpreted as to how it applies to the case the attorney is handling. Carry out investigations in relation to a case in order to authenticate or validate information. Prepare witness and matter materials for case preparation. Organize interview memos, digests and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation. Under attorney supervision, gather and prepare documents relevant to the deponent, organize exhibits, take notes and handle exhibits during depositions and digest transcripts to summarize the proceeding. Oversee the processing of documents through litigation support, order transcripts from reporting services, contact attorneys to coordinate document transfers, requests and productions. Other projects and tasks as instructed.
