Immigration Attorney The candidate will be responsible for appearing before EOIR, representing clients in removal proceedings (Detained & non-detained dockets) with all applications for relief. Representing clients in bond hearings. Representing client before USCIS & ICE. Appearing before the Asylum Office. Communication and working closely with clients. Visiting detained clients - must be available to travel to immigration courts & detention centers. Reviewing and analyzing forms of relief for individuals in detention. Corresponding with criminal attorneys, public defenders, law enforcement agencies, medical organization, etc. to obtain necessary evidence and advocate for clients. Work closely with office staff in case/file preparation - must be a team player. Keep track of calendaring tasks and prioritizing assignment in order to meet deadlines. The candidate must have 3+ years experience in removal defense. Must be a highly motivated self-starter, possess impeccable organization skills, is detail-oriented and has the the ability to prioritize a full case load. Must have experience preparing legal packets, letter, submission, motions and have strong legal research an legal writing skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
