Associate Attorney Chemical The candidate to analyze patent applications in the chemical sciences requiring a working knowledge of organic chemistry, physical chemistry and materials science. Consult with clients to ascertain technical details about inventions; review patent applications and complex terminology; analyze data to advise or recommend solutions; analyze information on patent applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the USPTO; analyze claim rejections; recommend specific solutions for the preparation of the claim amendments; provide legal opinions regarding infringement and validity of patents. Should have Bachelors or Masters degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Must have Law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admission to at least one State Bar. Strong academic credentials. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Should have 1 year of patent prosecution experience required. Industrial experience is a plus.
