This New England based firm has a Washington DC post that is notable for its attorneys. Well connected and well credentialed, many these attorneys have held prestigious posts in the federal government. The Washington office remains very much a small, branch office, but has the foundation on which to grow.
Litigation Paralegal The candidate must have strong writing skills, experience working with databases/litigation support technologies, and an aptitude for technology in the field. Prior litigation experience, eDiscovery training or certification, or an interest in technology are highly desirable. Applicants should have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team with attorneys, clients, other paralegals, legal assistants and outside organizations, as well as have strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to details and the ability to manage many duties simultaneously. Candidates should be able to provide logistical and technical support for trials in New England with a willingness to travel including travel between Verrill's offices, if necessary. Must be responsible for assisting lead counsel and litigation teams on litigation matters through the use of technology, including large and complex document reviews and productions. The candidate will develop and implement best practices for collection of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), processing, tracking collections and productions, producing ESI, and other eDiscovery workflows. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, stay apprised of current trends and developments in eDiscovery technologies, strategies, and solutions. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail are required. Applicants should have strong administrative skills and must have the ability to prioritize tasks successfully to meet fast-paced department deadlines. The successful candidate understands the role of a Paralegal within a full-service law firm environment.
