Legal Secretary Litigation The candidate's responsibilities include: Assist attorneys with information gathering and research for cases, Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations and trials, Preparation of various documents, including: tables of authority, complaints, subpoenas, motions, summons, and discovery, Type and draft routine correspondence and documents, applying proofreading and grammar skills, Maintain and organize client files, Process paper flow; copy, fax and distribute memos and other documents, Communicate with clients, court officials, and opposing counsel, Handle incoming and outgoing calls, Handle incoming and outgoing mail, Maintain attorney calendar, schedule meetings and appointments, Prepare expense reports, Perform other administrative duties as requested, Participate in cross-training efforts with other support staff members, Assist co-workers as needed to accomplish projects. Must have experience working with State, Federal and Bankruptcy courts. Should have typing speed of 60 - 70 wpm.
