Legal Secretary The candidate will join law firm representing cities, counties, and non-profit organizations on policy, labor, and employment issues. Will be assigned to two or more partners and associates. Duties include drafting, formatting, and filing civil pleadings in court and with administrative agencies; also assisting with civil discovery. Duties also include answering phones, filing, photocopying and scanning documents, and providing general secretarial support to attorneys. This position is ideal for an energetic, organized team player with excellent people skills and a positive attitude. Applicant must be enthusiastic about providing office support. At least two years of office experience is required. Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to work independently; ability to handle changing priorities and multiple tasks; excellent work ethic and willingness to learn. Should have experience with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word. Knowledge of court rules, electronic filings, and calendar/docket skills a plus.
