Family Law Paralegal (Remote) The candidate will conduct practical and legal research and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, supported by research and logical, strong arguments. Perform administrative duties, such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organize case files, use cases. Monitor cases and track cases internally against court dockets. Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Prioritize work and maintain files in an organized manner. Prepare and organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for court hearings. Aid attorney(s) with interrogatories and other discovery requests to and from the parties. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlements. Ensure all incoming documents are organized in the file management system. Proven experience in helping with dozens of cases in family law required. Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc required. Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment required. Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail required. Proficient with the technology required. Paralegal associate's degree or other relevant certification preferred. Note: Contract job.
