Legal Secretary The candidate Should have experience working in a legal office. This position will include traditional secretarial responsibilities including preparation of detailed agreements, electronic filings, client management, formatting, proofreading and editing of documents, travel arrangements, and other legal assistant functions. Maintain positive contact & communications with clients, attorneys, and staff in firm environment. Preparation and processing of documents including electronic filings. Maintain schedules and calendars for multiple attorneys and transactions tracking of critical dates. Open new matters. Drafting transaction documents and incorporating revisions provided by attorneys and other transaction participants. Organizing and managing transaction documents, including signature packages and closing transcripts. Maintaining accurate and current information in case management systems. Meet client deadlines and adapt to industry changes. Ensuring timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries. Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence. Proofreading the legal documents as required. Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere. Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed. Excellent computer/technical skills and effective communication skills a must.
