Paralegal - Trucking and Transportation The candidate will be responsible for performing specifically-delegated substantive legal work for Attorneys. Must use independent judgment and initiative to determine approach or action to take in non-routine situations. Responsibilities include preparing pre-hearing briefs; monitoring deadlines; monitoring and managing attorney mail; preparing file summaries/file analysis; conducting necessary discovery to prepare for litigation; conducting legal research; preparing correspondence to clients/attorneys/other facilities; scheduling of depositions/ etc. Should have complex litigation experience and knowledge of both Federal and State Rules. Should have Knowledge of Federal and State Rules. Knowledge of preparing drafts: request, response, pleading, order, motion, etc. Requires strong computer skills with 55+ WPM.
