Paralegal - Personal Injury The candidate will draft lawsuits, discovery, and various pleadings, objections, and memoranda of law using the proper procedures as required by statutes and court rules. Will do preparation for hearings, mediations, and depositions. E-filing and E-serving legal documents to attorneys and court clerks. Preparation for and participation in trials (prepare: exhibits, demonstrative aids, jury instructions. verdict forms / assist with jury selection, witness line up, and document management). Review client s medical records for pertinent information. Demonstrate communication skills by interacting effectively with clients and general public. Work directly with attorney and/or independently in the absence of specific instruction. The candidate should have High school diploma or equivalent. Must have 1+ year of personal injury litigation experience. Must be well versed in Florida personal injury issues such as insurance coverage, property damage, liens, subrogation, liability and damage issues, etc. Must have excellent communication skills. Strong understanding of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
