Legal Secretary-Administration The candidate will interact with prospective clients and existing clients on a daily basis, discuss facts, establish the potential for business with the firm. Manage and upkeep legal marketing services that recruit potential clientele. Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems. Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Utilize case management software. Write reports to help lawyers prepare for trials. Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts, petitions, and summons, and complaints. Obtain affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court. Help lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts. File exhibits, petitions, summons and complaints, interrogatories, discovery and inspection, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel. Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions. Supervise accounts receivables and collection of client invoices. Should have a Bachelor's degree. Experience of 1+ years in a law firm is required. Must preferably have 1+ year of experience in Microsoft Office. Should have good written and verbal communication skills. Have excellent organizational skills and be computer literate.
