Law Firm Seeks Experienced Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal The law firm of Barbara M. Pizzolato, P.A. is searching for an experienced Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal to join their Fort Myers, Florida office. The ideal candidate must be comfortable making independent judgments and must have probate and trust administration settlement experience. Job Description: The Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal will be responsible for the following tasks: Preparing pleadings to file with the court to initiate summary and formal probate proceedings E-filing of documents with the court Monitoring and maintaining the probate administration and trust administration electronic files in the office Reviewing the client's estate planning documents Preparing documents relating to the initial trust administration meeting, including Acceptances of Trustees, Resignations/Declinations of Trustees, Notices to Beneficiaries, etc. Preparing necessary memoranda and correspondence Conferencing with attorneys, clients, beneficiaries and family members Monitoring the estate and trust accounts, including the payment of monthly expenses for an estate or trust Gathering information regarding the assets and debts of an estate and/or trust Preparing accountings for both probate and trust administration Preparing declaration of assets for trust administration Locating beneficiaries of an estate or trust, if necessary Transferring assets to beneficiaries, including the preparation of deeds, transfer of vehicles, brokerage accounts or distributions in cash Gathering information needed for preparation of tax returns required for an estate and trust administration and coordinating with CPA for the preparation of the tax returns Transferring assets to beneficiaries, including the preparation of deeds, transfer of vehicles, brokerage accounts or distributions in cash Assisting the fiduciary in asset transfer activities and retitling after appointment of the successor fiduciary Using database software ClickUp to manage tasks and additional software to create documents and manage files Requirements: 3 years experience as a Florida probate/trusts administration paralegal or Legal Assistant (Required) Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required). Compensation: The successful candidate can expect to earn an annual salary of $60,000 - $70,000. The law firm also offers 401(k) and health insurance benefits, as well as paid time off.
