Privacy & Data Security Attorney The candidate will advise clients on compliance with privacy and data security law, incident response, and contract negotiation. Identify and evaluate risk to personal data or compliance postures. Conduct legal analysis and research in areas such as emerging privacy law and data breach. Engage in substantial reading and study due to the fast pace of change in the area. Actively participate in speaking and writing opportunities, including by contributing to the practice group's blog. Interact directly with law firm partners and client representatives. Prior experience working in a law firm is required. Should have 1-2 years of law firm experience. Experience in privacy or data security law is preferred. North Carolina Bar admission, or ability and willingness to obtain admission within 12 months is required.
