Family Law Paralegal The candidate will be expected to maintain billable hours for a significant amount of day. Will manage discovery, including drafting discovery and discovery responses and work with clients to obtain information necessary for discovery then draft the final pleadings for attorney review. Will research law, write attorney memos and collaborate on significant motions and responses. Will be expected to work on 3-7 different cases in order to progress them along, while handling any issues that arise in any other cases. Communication abilities are critical between the other paralegals in the office and attorneys to keep work-flow reasonable and progressing at a steady pace. A paralegal that is precise both in thought and language, intuitive, detailed, efficient, and has a profound desire to finish everything to completion is the ideal candidate. Requirements: 3+ years as a paralegal preferably in Family Law practice; prefer more experience; Knowledge of Family soft is a plus (legal software for family law forms); Ability to analyze substantive legal issues; Should have excellent letter and brief writing skills and expediate with work completion. Must have experience managing and completing discovery.
