Legal Secretary Duties: Timely Processing and filing documents with the courts. Preparation of pleadings and letters, accurately and with attention to detail. Finalizing letters, motions, judicial council forms, pleadings, discovery, motions, (including proofreading for grammar and spelling). Finalize and assist with discovery and responses to discovery, creating shells, verifications, etc. Respond and prepare email in a professional manner. Assist with Trial Preparation, including Trial and Exhibit Binders. Copy, faxing and redacting documents. Calendaring: meetings, hearing dates and deadlines, including reminders. Calendaring and calculating discovery, pleadings and motion deadlines. Must be familiar with CRC and Local Rules as well as Efiling rules. Qualifications: Four year college degree. 2-4 years' Litigation law firm experience required. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
