Certified/Registered Paralegal The candidate will assist with legal research, pulling up copies of decisions, and cite checks. Draft correspondence to clients, witnesses, experts, Court personnel, and others. Prepare case summaries for attorney review. Maintain litigation files, deadlines, calendars, and scheduling. A degree from an accredited college or university. Five years experience as a Paralegal. Well versed in the areas of Probate, Trusts, Guardianships and Civil Litigation. Knowledge of standard office practices and use of office equipment. Professional appearance, excellent client relations skills and telephone etiquette. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, PCLaw, Worldox, and Westlaw. should possess a college degree, have at least five years experience as a Paralegal, and be familiar with either Probate Litigation or Commercial Litigation (experience in one area can carry over into the other area). All applicants must be Certified or a Florida Registered Paralegal or receive these designations within the first 90-days of employment. Actively assist an experienced attorney with commercial litigation and probate litigation. Close involvement with cases from initial intake through trial. Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and Court filings.
