Paralegal The candidate will be mentored by the current paralegal during this transition period. The job duties of the paralegal will be in the practice areas of corporate governance and transactions, tax, federal and state court litigation, commercial real estate, real estate financing, assessment appeals and estates and trust matters as well as firm billing and administrative matters. Should have a Bachelor's degree and a Paralegal Certificate. Must have a 5 (five) years of experience as a Paralegal. Drafting of legal documents under attorney supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Inspiration, PCLaw, Quicken, PACER, and electronic court filing procedures in various jurisdictions. Must be detail-oriented and deadline oriented. Able to organize/prioritize work, possess strong organizational/problem solving skills and understands/follows written and oral instructions. Must be able to work independently and handle many tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to the firm's principals, opposing counsel and clients. Professional demeanor required. Experience 5 years (Preferred). Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative. Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion. Only candidates possessing the minimum qualifications should apply. The ideal candidate is expected to have paralegal experience and expertise well-exceeding the position's minimum qualifications.
