Legal Secretary/Receptionist Responsibilities: Drafting estate planning documents from specific notes provided by an attorney; opening new matters including drafting engagement letters and entering matters in Timeslips and Billing Matters; e-recording deeds and other documents as directed; e-filing with the Colorado Secretary of State. Other responsibilities include administrative tasks ranging from answering phones, collecting mail, making copies, scanning, filing, ordering supplies, and supporting the attorneys and paralegals with various tasks throughout the office. Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience. Areas of practice include estate planning, probate, corporate formation and annual reporting, and real estate. Must be able to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to work independently and prioritize workload as well as track and meet critical deadlines is also essential. Technical skills include working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as ability to use or learn WordPerfect. Timeslips/Billing Matters experience a plus but not necessary. Must be able to operate general office machinery, a multi-line phone system, and have a typing speed of 60+wpm. Being a notary public or having the ability to obtain a notary commission is necessary.
