Immigration Attorney The candidate's duties include: Representing individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts Appearing with individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for family-based matters, as well as for adjustment of status and naturalization. Preparing filings before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, including but not limited to Naturalization applications, Adjustment of Status applications, Waivers, VAWA applications, and U Visa petitions. Preparing asylum applications and appearing with individuals at the Asylum Office for asylum interviews; Preparing filings before the Department of Labor in PERM matters, as well as preparing employment-based visa applications * Handling client meetings; Consulting with new clients and advising on case options; Drafting briefs, motions, affidavits, letters, responses to requests for evidence/notices of intent to deny and other legal documents;Meeting deadlines; Should have 1 One or more years of experience in immigration law Skills and strong writing, oral advocacy, and research skills.
