Personal Injury Demand Coordinator Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary Duties: Draft and prepare settlement brochures to insurance companies on behalf of the plaintiff. Draft and prepare mediation and arbitration summaries. Draft and revise formal correspondence. Maintain attorney's schedule with direction from the attorney. Schedule client meetings and communicate with clients on a daily basis. Organize and maintain electronic client files. Request and organize client medical records and medical bills. Prepare and maintain Collateral Source Summaries for client files. The ability to analyze and understand medical billing ledgers and health insurance liens. This job description can be assigned or reassigned job duties at any time.
Qualifications: Must be able to take direction and work independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by completing multiple time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis. Excellent word processing and proofreading skills. Excellent administrative skills. Extremely professional, well organized, detail-oriented, and must have the ability to multitask in a high activity environment. Be able to actively prioritize and re-prioritize assignments, and operate well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience as a Personal Injury legal assistant is highly preferable. Previous use of firm's current practice management systems is a plus.
