# Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal ## Thousand Oaks, CA Westlake Village Law Firm is looking for a Part-time Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to join the team. The ideal candidate should have experience with the MS Office, typing skills of 70+ words per minute, confident on the phone, strong attention to detail, and superior organizational and interpersonal skills. **Job Description:** - Updating files when we get documents back from court and/or information from the client. - Answering phones, taking messages, and providing status updates to the client on these accounts. - Scanning documents into the file, changing action codes, and updating legal information in the file as it pertains to a date when we filed suit, the case #, etc. - Filing hard/paper documents into the hard file after scanning into the system. - Other general office management duties as needed and assigned. **Required Experience and Skill Requirements:** - Significant experience with the MS Office (Word, Outlook & Excel). - Typing skills of 70+ words per minute (wpm). - Confident on the phone (talking to clients, attorneys, etc.) - Strong attention to detail, and superior organizational and interpersonal skills - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). - Highly organized and detail oriented. - Self-starter. - Drive to Succeed. - Excellent Attendance - Knowledge of Skip Tracing - Solid Math Skills - Self-Motivated - Proactive - Great *** per hour **Schedule:** Choose your own hours **Travel Requirement:** No travel **Ability to commute/relocate:** Thousand Oaks, CA 91362: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) **Experience:** Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred) **Work Location:** In person Westlake Village Law Firm is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to join the team. The ideal candidate should have significant experience with the MS Office, typing skills of 70+ words per minute, confident on the phone, strong attention to detail, and superior organizational and interpersonal skills. This position is a legal administrative position whereby you would be responsible for updating files when we get documents back from court and/or information from the client, answer phones, take messages, provide status updates to the client on these accounts, scan documents into the file, change action codes, update legal information in the file as it pertains to a date when we filed suit, the case #, etc, and filing hard/paper documents into the hard file after scanning into the system. The successful candidate will be able to choose their own hours and no travel is required. The ideal candidate must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Thousand Oaks, CA 91362 before starting work. Microsoft Office experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
